She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 After her marriage, Helena Violet Alice Fraser was styled as Countess of Stradbroke on 23 July 1898. Her married name became Rous. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.2 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1927.1
