     Lt.-Col. William Richard Edgedale was born on 28 February 1931.¹ He was the son of Samuel Richard Edgedale and Elaine Blanche Gibbs.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Ella Newman, daughter of Guy Arthur Newman and Hon. Jean Sybil Loch, on 19 July 1954.¹ He and Mary Ella Newman were divorced after 1956.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Virginia Smith, daughter of Major G. W. Murray Smith, after 1957.¹ He died on 22 July 1996 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ Lieutenant-Colonel.¹

     Mary Ella Newman was born on 3 October 1931.² She is the daughter of Guy Arthur Newman and Hon. Jean Sybil Loch.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. William Richard Edgedale, son of Samuel Richard Edgedale and Elaine Blanche Gibbs, on 19 July 1954.¹ She and Lt.-Col. William Richard Edgedale were divorced after 1956.¹
     Her married name became Edgedale. She lived in 2003 at 34 Edna Street, London, England.²

     Guy Arthur Newman was born on 24 March 1904.² He was the son of Sir Sigmund Neumann, 1st Bt. and Anna Allegra Hakim. He married Hon. Jean Sybil Loch, daughter of Edward Douglas Loch, 2nd Baron Loch and Lady Margaret Louisa Lizzie Compton, on 19 December 1930.² He died on 13 January 1982 at age 77 at Chobham, Surrey, England.^2,3
     He was given the name of Guy Arthur Neumann at birth.² He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from University College London, London, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from University College London, London, England, in 1934 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1934 and 1937, for East islington.² He was director of Woodcote Grove Estate and Stanners Ltd.² On 9 March 1936 his name was legally changed to Guy Arthur Newman by Deed Poll.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.² He fought in the Second World War.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County of London in 1940.²

     Hon. Jean Sybil Loch was born on 18 May 1908.² She was the daughter of Edward Douglas Loch, 2nd Baron Loch and Lady Margaret Louisa Lizzie Compton.^2,3 She married Guy Arthur Newman, son of Sir Sigmund Neumann, 1st Bt. and Anna Allegra Hakim, on 19 December 1930.¹ She died in 1994.¹
     Her married name became Neumann. From 9 March 1936, her married name became Newman.

     Sir Sigmund Neumann, 1st Bt. was born on 25 May 1857 at Bayern, Germany.¹ He was the son of Gustav Neumann and Babette Goldscheider.² He married Anna Allegra Hakim, daughter of Jacques Hakim, on 25 August 1890.¹ He died on 13 September 1916 at age 59.²
     He was partner of S. Neumann & Co, merchants.¹ He was director of African Banking Corporation and London Joint Stock Bank.¹ He was partner of Newmann, Luebeck & Co, bankers.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Neumann, of Cecil Lodge, Newmarket, co. Cambridge [U.K.] on 6 February 1912.¹

     Anna Allegra Hakim was the daughter of Jacques Hakim. She married Sir Sigmund Neumann, 1st Bt., son of Gustav Neumann and Babette Goldscheider, on 25 August 1890.¹ She died on 14 June 1951.¹
     Her married name became Neumann.

     Jacques Hakim lived at Alexandria, Egypt^G.

     Edward Douglas Loch, 2nd Baron Loch was born on 4 April 1873.¹ He was the son of Henry Brougham Loch, 1st Baron Loch and Elizabeth Villiers.² He married Lady Margaret Louisa Lizzie Compton, daughter of William George Spencer Scott Compton, 5th Marquess of Northampton and Hon. Mary Florence Baring, on 6 June 1905.³ He died on 14 August 1942 at age 69.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.⁴ He fought in the Sudan Campaign in 1898, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)⁴ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, on the Staff, and where he was mentioned in dispatches and was severely wounded.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Loch, of Drylaw, Midlothian [U.K., 1895] on 20 June 1900.² He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)⁴ He was Lord-in-Waiting to HM King George V between 1911 and 1914.² He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier-General.⁴ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches five times.⁴ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)⁴ He was Captain of the King’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard between January 1924 and November 1924.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was Captain of the King’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard between 1929 and 1931.¹

     Lady Margaret Louisa Lizzie Compton was born on 9 August 1886.¹ She was the daughter of William George Spencer Scott Compton, 5th Marquess of Northampton and Hon. Mary Florence Baring.¹ She married Edward Douglas Loch, 2nd Baron Loch, son of Henry Brougham Loch, 1st Baron Loch and Elizabeth Villiers, on 6 June 1905.¹ She died on 9 April 1970 at age 83.¹
     From 6 June 1905, her married name became Loch. After her marriage, Lady Margaret Louisa Lizzie Compton was styled as Baroness Loch on 6 June 1905.
