Sir John Hastings was born circa 1466.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Hastings and Anne Gascoigne.1 He married, firstly, Isabel Babthorpe, daughter of Sir Ralph Babthorpe and Margaret Midelton, on 20 June 1484.1,2 He married, secondly, Katherine Aske, daughter of Sir John Aske and Elizabeth Bygod, in 1496.1,2 He died on 12 July 1504, without surviving issue.1 He was buried at Norton Priory, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2
