     Sir John Haldane, 5th of Gleneagles was the son of Sir James Haldane, 4th of Gleneagles and Christian Graham.² He married Marjorie Lawson, daughter of Sir John Lawson, circa 29 January 1508/9.¹ He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England^G, killed in action.²
     On 1 July 1505 he was retoured heir to his father.¹ In January 1508/9 obtained a charter erecting his lands in the Lennox and others in Perthshire, not already forming part of the barony of Gleneagles, into the barony of Haldane, the house of Rusky being appointed the principal messuage.¹ He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.²

     Marjorie Lawson is the daughter of Sir John Lawson.¹ She married, secondly, Luke Stirling, son of Sir William Stirling, 2nd of Keir.¹ She married, thirdly, Robert Menteith, 8th of Kerse, son of Sir William Menteith, 5th of Kerse and Alva and Helen Bruce.² She married, firstly, Sir John Haldane, 5th of Gleneagles, son of Sir James Haldane, 4th of Gleneagles and Christian Graham, circa 29 January 1508/9.¹
     Her married name became Menteith.² Her married name became Stirling.¹ From 29 January 1508/9, her married name became Haldane.¹

     Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles was the son of Sir John Haldane, 5th of Gleneagles and Marjorie Lawson.² He married Margaret Erskine, daughter of Robert Erskine, 4th Lord Erskine and Isabel Campbell.¹ He died circa 29 March 1547.¹
     On 29 November 1513 he was a minor at the time of his father’s death, but was by virtue of the Act of Dispensation granted to the heirs of those slain at Flodden, deemed of lawful age, and retoured heir.¹

     James Graham of Monorgund married Margaret Gray, daughter of James Gray of Balgarno.¹

     Margaret Erskine is the daughter of Robert Erskine, 4th Lord Erskine and Isabel Campbell.² She married Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles, son of Sir John Haldane, 5th of Gleneagles and Marjorie Lawson.¹
     Her married name became Haldane.¹

     John Haldane, 7th of Gleneagles was born in 1524.¹ He was the son of Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles and Margaret Erskine.² He married Elizabeth Lundie, daughter of Walter Lundie of that Ilk and Elizabeth Lindsay.¹ He died in December 1563.¹
     On 7 December 1551 he purchased lands of Blair, Fife from George Clapperton.¹

     Richard Haldane was the son of Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles and Margaret Erskine.² He died in November 1606.¹
     He held the office of Constable of Stirling Castle.¹ He was Subdean of Dunkeld Cathedral.¹ He had two sons.¹

     Robert Haldane of Balwill is the son of Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles and Margaret Erskine.² He married Christian Haldane.¹
     He had three sons and a daughter.¹

     Christian Haldane married Robert Haldane of Balwill, son of Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles and Margaret Erskine.¹

     Margaret Haldane is the daughter of Sir James Haldane, 6th of Gleneagles and Margaret Erskine.² She married Henry Foulis of Colinton, son of James Foulis of Colinton and Catherine Brown.¹
     Her married name became Foulis.¹
