     Helen O’Callan was the daughter of Bartholomew O’Callan.¹ She married, firstly, John Esmonde, son of Sir James Esmonde, 7th Bt. and Ellice White.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Hervé de Montmorency.¹ She died in 1854.¹
     Her married name became de Montmorency.¹ Her married name became Esmonde.

     Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Esmonde, 9th Bt. was born on 10 December 1786.¹ He was the son of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan.² He married, firstly, Mary Payne, daughter of E. Payne, in 1812.¹ He married, secondly, Sophia Maria Rowe, daughter of Ebenezer Radford Rowe, on 16 April 1856.¹ He died on 31 December 1868 at age 82, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Esmonde, of Ballynastragh, co. Wexford [I., 1629] on 22 November 1803.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹

     Mary Payne was the daughter of E. Payne.² She married Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Esmonde, 9th Bt., son of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan, in 1812.¹ She died on 7 March 1840.¹
     From 1812, her married name became Esmonde.

     Reverend Bartholomew Esmonde was born on 12 December 1789.¹ He was the son of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan.² He died on 15 December 1862 at age 73.¹
     He was with the Society of Jesuits.¹

     Commander James Esmonde was born circa 1791.¹ He was the son of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan.² He married Anna Maria Murphy, daughter of James Murphy and Mary Gallwey, on 16 September 1824.¹ He died on 4 October 1842.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     James Murphy was born in 1769.² He was the son of Jeremiah Murphy and Mary O’Hallinan.³ He married Mary Gallwey.² He died on 10 November 1855.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.² He was founder of the firm of James Murphy & Company, distillers, along with two of his brothers in 1825 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland^G.² He lived at Ringmahon, Blackrock, County Cork, Ireland^G.²

     Anna Maria Murphy was the daughter of James Murphy and Mary Gallwey.^2,3 She married Commander James Esmonde, son of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan, on 16 September 1824.¹ She died on 25 June 1869.¹
     From 16 September 1824, her married name became Esmonde.

     Sir John Esmonde, 10th Bt. was born on 16 May 1826.¹ He was the son of Commander James Esmonde and Anna Maria Murphy.² He married Louisa Grattan, daughter of Henry Grattan, on 12 April 1861.¹ He died on 9 December 1876 at age 50.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Waterford between 1852 and 1876.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Waterford Artillery Militia.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Wexford.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Wexford.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Esmonde, of Ballynastragh, co. Wexford [I., 1629] on 31 December 1868.¹ He held the office of Junior Lord of Treasury in 1874.¹

     Louisa Grattan was the daughter of Henry Grattan.¹ She married Sir John Esmonde, 10th Bt., son of Commander James Esmonde and Anna Maria Murphy, on 12 April 1861.¹ She died on 31 January 1880.¹
     From 12 April 1861, her married name became Esmonde.
