     John Harold-Barry was the son of Richard Harold and Mary Barry.¹ He married, firstly, Eliza Harrison, daughter of Henry Harrison and Mary O’Grady, in 1822.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Esmonde, daughter of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan, on 15 November 1843.² He died on 30 July 1867.²
     He was given the name of John Harold at birth.¹ His name was legally changed to John Harold-Barry, when he inherited the Barry property, he also assumed the additional surname of Barry.¹ He lived at Ballyvonare House, Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Eliza Harrison was the daughter of Henry Harrison and Mary O’Grady.¹ She married John Harold-Barry, son of Richard Harold and Mary Barry, in 1822.¹
     From 1822, her married name became Harold-Barry.¹

     Henry Harrison was the son of William Harrison and Mary O’Grady.² He married Mary O’Grady, daughter of Thomas O’Grady and Anne Horrish, in September 1788.²
     He lived at Castle Harrison, Charleville, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     John Harold-Barry was born in August 1823.¹ He was the son of John Harold-Barry and Eliza Harrison.¹ He married Margaret Josephine Gibson, daughter of William Gibson, in October 1860.¹ He died on 5 May 1898 at age 74.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1880.¹ He lived at Ballyvonare House, Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Richard Harold-Barry was the son of John Harold-Barry and Eliza Harrison.¹ He died young.¹

     Henry Harold-Barry was the son of John Harold-Barry and Eliza Harrison.¹ He died young.¹

     Margaret Harold-Barry was the daughter of John Harold-Barry and Eliza Harrison.¹ She died young.¹

     Margaret Esmonde was the daughter of John Esmonde and Helen O’Callan.^1,2 She married, firstly, Peter Warren Locke on 3 January 1831.³ She married, secondly, John Harold-Barry, son of Richard Harold and Mary Barry, on 15 November 1843.³ She died on 25 December 1878.¹ She was also reported to have died without issue on 25 December 1875.³
     She was awarded the Honorary Canoness, Order of St. Anne of Bavaria.³ From 3 January 1831, her married name became Locke. From 15 November 1843, her married name became Harold-Barry.³
