He was given the name of Matthew Robinson at birth.1 On 3 June 1776 his name was legally changed to Matthew Montagu by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bossiney between 1786 and 1790.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tregony between 1790 and 1796.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Germans between 1806 and 1812.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Robinson [G.B., 1730] in May 1829.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Rokeby, of Armagh [I., 1777] in May 1829.1

Sir Walter Hungerford1 
Sir Walter Hungerford also went by the nick-name of ‘the Knight of Farley’.2 He was also known as Sir William Hungerford.3 In 1554 he had his estates restored on his 1st marriage but not the peerage.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1557.2 In 1570 he unsuccessfully accused his wife of having tried to poison him back in 1564, also of adultery with one William Darrell, of Littlecote.2 Circa 1595 he went through a form of marriage with his mistress Margery Brighte (despite his 2nd wife still being alive), by whom he had already had at least two sons.2 He lived at Farley, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
