     Brig.-Gen. Ralph Maximilian Yorke was born on 22 October 1874.¹ He was the son of John Reginald Yorke and Sophia Matilde Henriëtte Bilitonia Barones van Tuyll van Serooskerken.² He married Hon. Muriel Fanny Herschell, daughter of Farrar Herschell, 1st Baron Herschell of the City of Durban and Agnes Adela Porcher, on 4 October 1906.¹ He died on 25 February 1951 at age 76.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 11th Hussars.¹ He gained the rank of Boer War in 1902.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He was awarded the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.¹ He was awarded the Commander, Order of the Crown of Romania.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Gloucester Yeomanry.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1921.¹

     Farrar Herschell, 1st Baron Herschell of the City of Durban was born on 2 November 1837.² He was the son of Reverend Ridley Henry Herschell and Helen Mowbray.² He married Agnes Adela Porcher, daughter of Edward Leigh Kindersley Porcher, on 20 December 1876.² He died on 1 March 1899 at age 61.²
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1860 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.² He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1872.² He held the office of Recorder of Carlisle between 1873 and 1880.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Duham between 1874 and 1885.² He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1880 and 1885.² He held the office of Lord Chancellor in 1886.² He was created 1st Baron Herschell of the City of Durban [U.K.] on 8 February 1886.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)² He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.² He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)² He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Durham.² He held the office of Lord Chancellor between 1892 and 1895.² He held the office of Chancellor of London University in 1893.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1893.²

     Hon. Muriel Fanny Herschell was born on 4 April 1883.² She was the daughter of Farrar Herschell, 1st Baron Herschell of the City of Durban and Agnes Adela Porcher.² She married Brig.-Gen. Ralph Maximilian Yorke, son of John Reginald Yorke and Sophia Matilde Henriëtte Bilitonia Barones van Tuyll van Serooskerken, on 4 October 1906.¹ She died on 26 October 1956 at age 73.¹
     From 4 October 1906, her married name became Yorke.

     Adela Sophie Yorke was born on 22 July 1907.¹ She is the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Ralph Maximilian Yorke and Hon. Muriel Fanny Herschell.²

     Daphne Elizabeth Yorke was born on 21 December 1910.¹ She is the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Ralph Maximilian Yorke and Hon. Muriel Fanny Herschell.² She married David Alan Fullerton, son of Alan Weston Fullerton, on 24 April 1948.¹
     From 24 April 1948, her married name became Fullerton.

     Alan Weston Fullerton lived at Rye, Sussex, England^G.¹

     David Alan Fullerton was the son of Alan Weston Fullerton.² He married Daphne Elizabeth Yorke, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Ralph Maximilian Yorke and Hon. Muriel Fanny Herschell, on 24 April 1948.¹ He died on 10 April 1965.¹

     Dorothy Constance Emily Yorke was born on 30 July 1879.¹ She was the daughter of John Reginald Yorke and Sophia Matilde Henriëtte Bilitonia Barones van Tuyll van Serooskerken.² She died on 20 November 1946 at age 67, unmarried.¹
     She was Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Patricia of Connaught and HRH The Princess Royal between 1919 and 1939.¹ She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1937.¹ She was Extra Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Patricia of Connaught and HRH The Princess Royal between 1939 and 1946.¹

     James Charles Yorke was born on 6 February 1816.¹ He was the son of Joseph Yorke and Catherine Cocks.² He married Georgiana Augusta Hawkins, daughter of Reverend Charles Hawkins and Anna Augusta Cockburn, on 31 October 1839.¹ He died on 5 January 1867 at age 50.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Dragoon Guards.¹
