     Denis Daly was the son of James Daly.² He married Anastasia D’Arcy, daughter of Hyacinth D’Arcy.² He died on 21 June 1759.²

     Xaverius Blake was born in 1752.² He was the son of Walter Blake and Bridget Daly.¹ He married Isabella Knox, daughter of John Knox, in 1773, with one other daughter not listed.² He died on 26 January 1784.²
     He, on his majority, entered into possession of a rent-roll of £5,500 a year, together with £100,000 in ready money which had accumulated during his 16 year minority. With his wife he embarked on a career of such extravagance that by his death the greater part of the inheritance had been dissipated.² He lived at Dunmacrina, County Mayo, Ireland^G,¹ and at Oranmore Castle, Oranmore, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ His death was followed by a lengthy litigation regarding the ownership of the Knox Diamonds, which was not settled until nearly a century later.²

     Isabella Knox was the daughter of John Knox.¹ She married, firstly, Xaverius Blake, son of Walter Blake and Bridget Daly, in 1773, with one other daughter not listed.¹ She married, secondly, Andrew Blake, son of Dominick Blake and Hon. Frances Netterville, after 1784.¹
     From 1773, her married name became Blake.¹ She and John Knox were £10,000 on her marriage, and later the famous Knox Diamonds.¹ From after 1784, her married name became Blake.²
