     Major Martin Arthur O’Brien ffrench Blake was born on 10 January 1921.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur O’Brien ffrench Blake and Laura Iris Walker.² He married Betty Rosemarie Whitacre Allen, daughter of Brigadier John Frederick Whitacre Allen, on 27 July 1946.¹ He died on 9 June 1994 at age 73 at Maidstone, Kent, England.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He retired from the military in 1959, with the rank of Major, late of the Buffs.¹ He was a member of the London Stock Exchange from 1960.¹ He was a member of the Court of Assistants, Mercer Company.¹ As of 1976, Major Martin Arthur O’Brien ffrench Blake lived at Rosemount Cottage, Loose, Maidstone, Kent, England^G.¹

     Betty Rosemarie Whitacre Allen was born circa 1922.² She was the daughter of Brigadier John Frederick Whitacre Allen.¹ She married Major Martin Arthur O’Brien ffrench Blake, son of Lt.-Col. Arthur O’Brien ffrench Blake and Laura Iris Walker, on 27 July 1946.¹ She died on 26 February 2015.²
     From 27 July 1946, her married name became ffrench Blake.¹

     Brigadier John Frederick Whitacre Allen was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at Folkestone, Kent, England^G.¹
