He held the office of Mayor of Galway in 1533.1 He was whose title to lands circa 1536 at Kiltullagh, County Galway, IrelandG.1 In an award of 1542, Richard Blake, with his son and heir John Blake, confirmed his ancestors’ gifts to the church of St. Nicholas, Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1 Between Richard Blake and his kinsman Nicholas Blake an award was made by Patrick Barnewall, Serjeant-at-law, to settle disputes as to the division of lands inherited from Henry Blake, Sr. on 6 July 1542.2
