     Reverend John Thomas Becher was born in 1770.^2,3 He was the son of Michael Henry Becher and Catherine French.¹ He married Mary Drake Becher, daughter of Reverend William Becher and Elizabeth Lucas Drake, on 6 January 1802 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England^G,^1,4 or on 3 June 1841.¹ He was also reported to have died on 6 January 1841.¹

     Sir John Becher was born on 1 September 1677 at County Cork, Ireland^G.^2,3 He was the son of Colonel Thomas Becher and Elizabeth Turner.² He married, firstly, Hester Duddlestone, daughter of Sir John Duddlestone, 1st Bt. and Susanna Lewes, on 16 October 1695.^2,3 He married, secondly, Mary Cranfield, daughter of Edward Cranfield and Elizabeth Parker, before 1711.³
     He was also known as St. John Becher.² He held the office of Sheriff of Bristol in 1713.³ He held the office of Alderman of Bristol.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Bristol in 1721.² He lived at St. Michael’s, Bristol, England^G.²

     Hester Duddlestone was born in 1674.² She was the daughter of Sir John Duddlestone, 1st Bt. and Susanna Lewes.^1,2 She was baptised on 27 June 1674 at All Saints, Bristol, England^G.² She married Sir John Becher, son of Colonel Thomas Becher and Elizabeth Turner, on 16 October 1695.^1,2 She died on 10 January 1704.² She was buried on 11 January 1704 at All Saints, Bristol, England^G.^1,2
