     Lt.-Col. Edmund Henry Berkeley was born on 10 October 1844.¹ He was the son of Charles Berkeley and Susan Clarke.¹ He married Lucy Sophia Churchill, daughter of George Churchill, on 4 January 1881.¹ He died on 23 March 1927 at age 82.¹
