     He was educated at Weymouth College, Weymouth, Dorset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Reading University, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was working with the Palestine Police between 1938 and 1945.¹ He lived at The Waterfoot, Letter, County Fermanagh, Ireland^G.¹ As of 1976, Charles Harold Bertram Barton lived at 11 St. James Avenue, London, England^G.¹

     Una Cardwell was the daughter of Howard Cardwell.¹ She married Charles Harold Bertram Barton, son of Reverend Charles Nathaniel Barton and Marion Augusta Consterdine, on 26 July 1941.¹ She died on 7 May 1959.¹
     From 26 July 1941, her married name became Barton.¹
