Sir George Stewart of Grandtully, 5th Bt. was born on 17 October 1750 at Ballechin, Logierait, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir John Stewart of Grandtully, 4th Bt. and Clementina Stewart. He married Catharine Drummond, daughter of John Drummond, 3rd of Logie Almond and Lady Catherine Murray.1 He died on 9 December 1827 at age 77.1
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Stewart, of Blair and Balcaskie, co. Fife [N.S., 1683] on 6 October 1797.
