     James Eyre was the son of Henry Samuel Paul Eyre and Georgina Eyre.¹ He married Elizabeth Frances Edie, daughter of Alexander Clotworthy Downing Leckie Edie and Diana Maria Battley, in a childless marriage.¹ He died before 1901, when his widow remarried.¹
