     Josephine Maria Bancroft was the daughter of Peter Bancroft and Georgina Chappell.¹ She married, firstly, Thomas Samuel Pakenham, son of Reverand Robert Pakenham and Harriet Maria Browne, on 4 January 1858.¹ She married, secondly, Captain Robert Conway Dobbs Ellis on 9 May 1866.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 4 January 1859.² She died in 1889.¹
     She gained the rank of Captain in the 22nd Regiment.² From 4 January 1858, her married name became Pakenham.¹ From 9 May 1866, her married name became Ellis.¹

     Thomas Samuel Pakenham was born on 3 May 1830.² He was the son of Reverand Robert Pakenham and Harriet Maria Browne.^1,2 He married Josephine Maria Bancroft, daughter of Peter Bancroft and Georgina Chappell, on 4 January 1858.¹ He was also reported to have been married on 4 January 1859.² He died on 11 August 1863 at age 33.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Antrim.² He lived at Glen Oak, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverand Robert Pakenham was born on 4 June 1799.² He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Thomas Pakenham and Louisa Anne Staples.³ He married, firstly, Harriet Maria Browne, daughter of Rt. Hon. Denis Browne and Anne Mahon, on 30 June 1829.⁴ He married, secondly, Elizabeth (?) on 28 September 1865.⁴ He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Whitelaw, daughter of Robert Whitelaw, on 6 July 1876.⁴ He died on 30 December 1883 at age 84.⁴
     He was the Vicar at Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹

     Captain Robert Conway Dobbs Ellis married Josephine Maria Bancroft, daughter of Peter Bancroft and Georgina Chappell, on 9 May 1866.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 22nd Regiment.¹

     Matilda Isles married Lieutenant Henson Bancroft, son of Peter Bancroft and Georgina Chappell, at Australia^G, they had seven additional children.¹
     She lived at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.¹ Her married name became Bancroft.¹

     Major Peter Henson Bancroft was born in 1877 at Australia^G.² He was the son of Lieutenant Henson Bancroft and Matilda Isles.¹ He married, firstly, Florence Adolphine Jackson, daughter of Henry Vincent Jackson and Arabella Edie, on 14 November 1901.² He married, secondly, Constance Jackson, daughter of Henry Vincent Jackson and Arabella Edie, in 1928, she was the sister of his first wife.² He died in 1969.²
     He was educated at Tonbridge School, Tonbridge, Kent, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Major in the East Surrey Regiment.² He lived at The Grove, Stocklinch, Somerset, England^G.^1,2

     Florence Adolphine Jackson was the daughter of Henry Vincent Jackson and Arabella Edie.¹ She married Major Peter Henson Bancroft, son of Lieutenant Henson Bancroft and Matilda Isles, on 14 November 1901.¹ She died in May 1962.¹
     From 14 November 1901, her married name became Bancroft.¹

     Henry Vincent Jackson was born in 1845.² He was the son of William Henry Jackson and Cecilia Westropp.² He married Arabella Edie, daughter of Alexander Clotworthy Downing Leckie Edie and Diana Maria Battley, in 1875 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2 He died in 1896 at Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland.²
     He lived at 12 Merrion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Arabella Edie was the daughter of Alexander Clotworthy Downing Leckie Edie and Diana Maria Battley.^1,2 She married Henry Vincent Jackson, son of William Henry Jackson and Cecilia Westropp, in 1875 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2
     From 1875, her married name became Jackson.¹

     Alexander Clotworthy Downing Leckie Edie was born circa 1810.² He married Diana Maria Battley, daughter of Thomas Cade Battley and Belinda Arabella Grange, on 16 July 1853 at St. Peter’s Church, Aungier Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2 He died on 5 December 1875 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.²
     He lived at Thornhill, Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹
