     Walter Ball was the son of Bartholomew Ball and Margaret Bermingham.¹ He married Eleanor Ussher, daughter of Robert Ussher and Margaret FitzJohn, they had three other sons and another daughter.¹ He died on 8 December 1598.¹ He was buried at St. Audeon’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     He held the office of Sheriff of Dublin in 1572.¹ He held the office of Alderman of Dublin in 1573.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Dublin between 1580 and 1581.¹

     Eleanor Ussher was the daughter of Robert Ussher and Margaret FitzJohn.^1,2 She married, secondly, Dr. Robert Conway.² She married, thirdly, Sir John Eliot.² She married, firstly, Walter Ball, son of Bartholomew Ball and Margaret Bermingham, they had three other sons and another daughter.¹ She died in 1613.²
     Her married name became Eliot.² Her married name became Conway.² Her married name became Ball.¹

     Robert Ussher was born in 1528.² He was the son of Arland Ussher and Rose Holywood.² He married, firstly, Margaret FitzJohn, daughter of Thomas FitzJohn.² He married, secondly, Katherine Segrave, daughter of Patrick Segrave, in 1567.²
     He held the office of Alderman of Dublin.² He lived at Santry, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Nicholas Ball was the son of Bartholomew Ball and Margaret Bermingham.¹ He married Begnet Luttrell.¹ He died in 1609.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in 1610.¹
     He lived at Boltown (near Kells) County Meath, Ireland.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Dublin between 1570 and 1571.¹ He held the office of Alderman of Dublin in 1574.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Dublin between 1582 and 1583.¹ He held the office of Master, Merchants’ Guild from 1584 to 1585, and again from 1592 to 1593.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dublin in 1585.¹ He lived at Lunderstown, Duleek, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Bartholomew Ball was the son of Bartholomew Ball and Margaret Bermingham.¹
     He was a leading merchant at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was part of the rebellion of 1580 for which he was imprisoned in Dublin Castle and had his estates forfeited. He was later pardoned and restored on payment of a heavy fine.¹ He lived at Sprinkleston Castle, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Elinor Ball was the daughter of Bartholomew Ball.¹ She married Walter Segrave, they had issue.¹
     Her married name became Segrave.¹
