     He was educated at Clongowes Wood College, S.J., Clane, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was educated at University College Dublin, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Member, Agricultural Committee, Royal Dublin Society between 1940 and 1946.¹ He held the office of Member, Council Bloodstock Breeders’ Association from 1944.¹ He held the office of Member of the Executive Committee, Council Bloodstock Breeders’ Association from 1950.¹ He lived at Reynoldstown, Naul, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Director, Irish National Stud between 1956 and 1959.¹ He was the Leading Breeder of Bloodstock in Great Britain and Ireland in 1958.¹ He held the office of President, Irish Bloodstock Breeders’ Association between 1959 and 1962.¹ He lived at Moorside, Clonalvy, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Mavis Norah Worrall is the daughter of Captain Francis Clemson Worrall.¹ She married Richard Ball, son of Richard Oliver Ball and Mary Tench, on 10 June 1948.¹
     She was in the service of the Women’s Royal Naval Service (W.R.N.S.)¹ From 10 June 1948, her married name became Ball.¹

     Captain Francis Clemson Worrall gained the rank of Captain in the Devonshire Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Charles Richard Ball was born on 31 March 1952.¹ He is the son of Richard Ball and Mavis Norah Worrall.¹
     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Mary Janet Florence Ball is the daughter of Richard Ball and Mavis Norah Worrall.¹

     In 1501 John Ball erected the Market Cross at Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland^G, at his own expense.¹

     Thomas Ball was the son of John Ball.¹ He married Margaret Birmingham, daughter of Nicholas Birmingham, circa 1500, with issue in addition to Bartholomew.¹
     He lived at Stephenstown, Balrothery, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Margaret Birmingham was the daughter of Nicholas Birmingham.¹ She married Thomas Ball, son of John Ball, circa 1500, with issue in addition to Bartholomew.¹
     From circa 1500, her married name became Ball.¹

     Nicholas Birmingham lived at Rathronan, Trim, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Bartholomew Ball was the son of Thomas Ball and Margaret Birmingham.¹ He married Margaret Bermingham, daughter of Walter Bermingham, circa 1530.¹ He died in 1573.¹ He was buried with Margaret Bermingham at St. Auden’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     He held the office of Alderman of Dublin.¹ He held the office of Sheriff between 1541 and 1542.¹ He held the office of Keeper of Keys of the Treasury.¹ He held the office of Mayor between 1554 and 1555.¹ He was a leading merchant at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
