He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 In 1914 seconded under the Foreign Office, assigned to be the Private Secretary and Aide-de-Camp for Prince William of Albania.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1914 in the Albanian Army.1 He was interned in Germany between 1914 and 1916, he was released on exchange and mentioned in despatches.1 He succeeded as the Lord of the Manor of Roscrea [feudal baron] in 1917.3 He was the Gold Staff Officer at the Coronations in 1937 and in 1953.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion Lancaster Fusiliers.1
