     William Cochrane of Ochiltree, Younger was baptised on 25 January 1682.¹ He was the son of William Cochrane and Lady Mary Bruce.¹ He died circa 1716.¹

     Henry Carey Hamilton married Betty Cochrane, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Cochrane and Margaret Hawkison.¹

     Lt.-Col. Nathaniel Gould married Betty Cochrane, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Cochrane and Margaret Hawkison, on 3 June 1759.¹

     John Cochrane was baptised on 30 June 1662.¹ He was the son of Sir John Cochrane and Margaret Strickland.¹ A contract for the marriage of John Cochrane and Hannah de Werth was signed on 14 September 1687.¹ He died circa 7 January 1729.¹
     In 1685 he was imprisoned with his father for his part in the Argyll rising, but was afterwards pardoned.¹ He lived at Waterside^G.¹

     From 14 September 1687, her married name became Cochrane.¹

     John Cochrane was the son of John Cochrane and Hannah de Werth.¹ A contract for the marriage of John Cochrane and Elizabeth Cairns was signed on 11 August 1733.¹ He died on 23 November 1752, drowned.¹

     Elizabeth Cairns was the daughter of unknown Cairns.¹ A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Cairns and John Cochrane was signed on 11 August 1733.¹ She died on 4 January 1777.¹
     From 11 August 1733, her married name became Cochrane.¹
