     Margaret Cochrane was the daughter of William Cochrane of that Ilk and Elizabeth Montgomerie.¹ She died circa 1601.¹

     Grizel Sempill was the daughter of Robert Sempill, 3rd Lord Sempill and Isabel Hamilton.^1,2 She married James Hamilton, 1st of Stonehouse, son of James Hamilton, 3rd of Raploch and Isabel Weir of Blackwood, before 10 March 1539/40.² She and James Hamilton, 1st of Stonehouse were divorced before 21 February 1545/46.² She died in October 1575.²
     She and Most Rev. John Hamilton were associated.³ From before 10 March 1539/40, her married name became Hamilton.²

     Sir John Cochrane was the son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹ He married Grace Butler.¹ He died, without issue.¹
     He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.¹ In 1642 he resigned his estates to his brother William.¹

     Grace Butler married Sir John Cochrane, son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹
     Her married name became Cochrane.¹

     Alexander Cochrane was the son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹ He married Agnes Richie.¹ He died in 1673.¹
     He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.¹ He lived at Auchencreugh, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Agnes Richie married Alexander Cochrane, son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹
     Her married name became Cochrane.¹

     Hugh Cochrane is the son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹ He married Joan Savage, daughter of Henry Savage.¹
     He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.¹ He lived at Ferguslie, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Janet Scrymgeour-Wedderburn was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn of Wedderburn and Birkhill and Edith Moffat.² She died on 18 August 1926.¹

     Joan Savage is the daughter of Henry Savage.¹ She married Hugh Cochrane, son of Alexander Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane.¹
     Her married name became Cochrane.¹

     Henry Savage lived at Ardken, County Down, Ireland^G.¹
