Chandos Sydney Cedric Brudenell-Bruce, 7th Marquess of Ailesbury was born on 26 January 1904.3 He was the son of George William James Chandos Brudenell-Bruce, 6th Marquess of Ailesbury and Caroline Sydney Anne Madden.3 He married, firstly, Joan Houlton Salter, daughter of Stephen Salter, on 5 July 1924.3 He married, secondly, Joyce Frances Warwick-Evans, daughter of Charles Warwick-Evans, on 11 March 1944.3 He and Joyce Frances Warwick-Evans were divorced in 1948.4 He married, thirdly, Jean Frances Margaret Wilson, daughter of John Addison Wilson, on 20 February 1950.3 He died on 15 July 1974 at age 70.3
