     Hon. Carol Lylie Palmer was born on 28 November 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Raymond Cecil Palmer, 3rd Baron Palmer and Victoria Ellen Stevens.¹ She married John Armine Wodehouse, 5th Earl of Kimberley, son of John Wodehouse, 4th Earl of Kimberley and Carmel June Maguire, on 21 July 1973.²
     From 21 July 1973, her married name became Wodehouse. After her marriage, Hon. Carol Lylie Palmer was styled as The Countess of Kimberley.¹ She lived at The Vicarage, Great Hormead, Hertfordshire, England.¹

     Raymond Cecil Palmer, 3rd Baron Palmer was born on 24 June 1916.¹ He was the son of Ernest Cecil Nottage Palmer, 2nd Baron Palmer and Marguerite Osborne. He married Victoria Ellen Stevens, daughter of Captain Joseph Arthur Ronald Weston Stevens, on 30 January 1941.¹ He died in 1990.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was chairman of Huntley & Palmers.¹ He was chairman of Huntley, Boorne & Stevens.¹ He was director of the Association Biscuit Manufacturers.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards, he was invalided.¹ He was president of the Thames Valley Trustee Savings Bank (T.S.B.)¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Palmer, of Reading, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1916] on 6 June 1950. He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Palmer, of Reading, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1933] on 6 June 1950.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1968.¹

     Victoria Ellen Stevens was the daughter of Captain Joseph Arthur Ronald Weston Stevens.¹ She married Raymond Cecil Palmer, 3rd Baron Palmer, son of Ernest Cecil Nottage Palmer, 2nd Baron Palmer and Marguerite Osborne, on 30 January 1941.² She died on 3 June 2002.²
     From 30 January 1941, her married name became Palmer.² After her marriage, Victoria Ellen Stevens was styled as Baroness Palmer on 6 June 1950.
