     Sarah Louisa Mary Maitland is the daughter of Commander Sir John Francis Whitaker Maitland and Bridget Denny.^1,2 She married John Bruce-Gardyne, Baron Bruce-Gardyne, son of Captain Evan Bruce-Gardyne, 13th of Middleton and Joan McLaren, on 24 January 1959.¹
     From 24 January 1959, her married name became Bruce-Gardyne.¹ After her marriage, Sarah Louisa Mary Maitland was styled as Baroness Bruce-Gardyne on 7 October 1983.

     Commander Sir John Francis Whitaker Maitland was born on 24 March 1903.² He was the son of William Whitaker Maitland and Louisa Lindisfarne Clements Hamilton.³ He married Bridget Denny, daughter of Edward Henry Marland Denny and Barbara Hood, in 1930.³ He died on 17 November 1977 at age 74.²
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.³ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1935.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1936.³ He lived at Loughton Hall, Essex, England.³ He lived at Harrington Hall, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Horncastle between 1945 and 1966.²

     Hon. Roselle Sarah Bruce-Gardyne was born on 7 December 1959.¹ She is the daughter of John Bruce-Gardyne, Baron Bruce-Gardyne and Sarah Louisa Mary Maitland.¹

     Angela Pauline Fane was born on 9 June 1936.² She was the daughter of Charles William Fane and Pauline Margaret Blackie.^1,3 She married Lt.-Cdr. Kenneth Patrick Bruce-Gardyne, son of Captain Evan Bruce-Gardyne, 13th of Middleton and Joan McLaren, on 11 April 1964.¹ She died on 16 August 2014 at age 78.⁴
     From 11 April 1964, her married name became Bruce-Gardyne.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Old Rectory, Meonstoke, Hampshire, England^G.²

     Laurence John Cadbury was born on 30 March 1889.¹ He was the son of George Cadbury and Elizabeth Mary Taylor.² He married Joyce Mathews, daughter of Lewis O. Mathews, on 10 November 1925.¹
     He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, with the Friend’s Ambulance Unit.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹

     Joyce Mathews is the daughter of Lewis O. Mathews.¹ She married Laurence John Cadbury, son of George Cadbury and Elizabeth Mary Taylor, on 10 November 1925.¹
     From 10 November 1925, her married name became Cadbury.¹

     Lewis O. Mathews died before 1972.¹
     He lived at Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Mary Tyler was the daughter of Charles Tyler and Gulielma Sparkes.¹ She married George Cadbury, son of John Cadbury, on 14 March 1872.¹ She died on 27 April 1887.¹
     From 14 March 1872, her married name became Cadbury.¹
