Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, V.C. was born on 30 September 1832.1 He was the son of General Sir Abraham Roberts and Isabella Bunbury.1 He married Nora Henrietta Bews, daughter of Captain John Bews, on 17 May 1859.1 He died on 14 November 1914 at age 82 at British Army HQ, France.1
