     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He lived at Mainsforth Hall, County Durham, England^G.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)¹

     Christopher Cecil Tower was born on 24 December 1884 at London, England.² He married Dorothy Cynthia Surtees, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Herbert Conyers Surtees and Madeleine Augusta Crabb, on 15 April 1913 at Eaton Square, London, England.¹ He died on 2 October 1915 at age 30 at France, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Essex Yeomanry Household Cavalry.²

     David Patrick Maule Ramsay was born on 31 January 1919.¹ He was the son of Hon. Sir Patrick William Maule Ramsay and Dorothy Cynthia Surtees.¹ He married Hélène Arvanitidi, daughter of Leonidas Arvanitidi, on 5 April 1948.¹ He and Hélène Arvanitidi were divorced.¹ He died on 21 January 1978 at age 58.¹

     Hélène Arvanitidi was the daughter of Leonidas Arvanitidi.¹ She married, secondly, John Tod Horton.¹ She married, firstly, David Patrick Maule Ramsay, son of Hon. Sir Patrick William Maule Ramsay and Dorothy Cynthia Surtees, on 5 April 1948.¹ She and David Patrick Maule Ramsay were divorced.¹ She died in 1980.¹
     Her married name became Horton.¹ From 5 April 1948, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Leonidas Arvanitidi lived at 4 Avenue du Docteur Brouarde, Paris, France^G.¹

     John Tod Horton married Hélène Arvanitidi, daughter of Leonidas Arvanitidi.¹

     Silvia Patricia Ramsay is the daughter of David Patrick Maule Ramsay and Hélène Arvanitidi.¹
     She lived in 2003 at 5617 South Dorchester Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Lieutenant James Surtees Maule Ramsay was born on 22 October 1923.¹ He was the son of Hon. Sir Patrick William Maule Ramsay and Dorothy Cynthia Surtees.¹ He died on 26 October 1944 at age 21 at The Netherlands^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Lady Ida Mary Ramsay was born on 29 January 1906.¹ She is the daughter of Arthur George Maule Ramsay, 14th Earl of Dalhousie and Lady Mary Adelaide Heathcote-Drummond.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir George Frederick Johnson on 4 January 1938.¹
     From 4 January 1938, her married name became Johnson.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Sir George Frederick Johnson married Lady Ida Mary Ramsay, daughter of Arthur George Maule Ramsay, 14th Earl of Dalhousie and Lady Mary Adelaide Heathcote-Drummond, on 4 January 1938.¹ He died in 1980.¹
