Sir Percy Angier Hurd was born on 18 May 1864.1 He was the son of William Hurd and Elizabeth Angier.1 He married Hannah Cox, daughter of Reverend William Jackson Cox, on 5 September 1893.3 He died on 5 June 1950 at age 86.1
He was the London editor of the Montreal Star.3 He was the founder and editor of The Outlook.3 He was editor of Canadian Gazette.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Frome between 1918 and 1923.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devizes between 1924 and 1925.4 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1932.3
