     Alfred Stair was born on 15 May 1845.² He was the son of Thomas Stair and Ann David.² He married Elizabeth Anne Nield, daughter of Edward Nield and Emma Cordingley.² He died on 2 March 1914 at age 68.²
     He was Chief Accountant and Comptroller of the Inland Revenue between 1900 and 1910.³

     Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Gordon Willmer was the son of Arthur Washington Willmer.² He married Mary Barbara Hurd, daughter of Sir Archibald Hurd and Anne Perrott Groser, on 21 July 1928.¹ He died in 1983.²
     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)² Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Gordon Willmer usually went by his middle name of Gordon.¹ He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal between 1955 and 1969.²

     From 26 September 1928, her married name became Hurd.¹ After her marriage, Stephanie Frances Corner was styled as Baroness Hurd on 24 May 1964.
