Dudley Alexander Sydney Cosby, 1st and last Baron Sydney and Stradbally1 
On 14 July 1768 Queen’s County in the Peerage of Ireland.1 He was created 1st Baron Sydney, of Leix [Ireland] on 14 July 1768.1 He was created 1st Baron Stradbally, Queen’s County [Ireland] on 14 July 1768.3 He held the office of Minister Plenipotentiary to the Court of Denmark.1 In his death, his peerages became extinct, and the estates passed to his cousin, Admiral Phillips Cosby.1

(Liberal) for Galway Borough between 1868 and 1874.1 He held the office of Vice-Admiral of the Province of Leinster.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount St. Lawrence [I., 1767] on 4 February 1874.1 He succeeded as the 18th Baron Howth [I., c. 1440] on 4 February 1874.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Howth [I., 1767] on 4 February 1874.1 He was created 1st Baron Howth of Howth, co. Dublin [U.K.] on 7 October 1881.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1884.1 On his death, all of his titles became extinct.1
