     Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Henshaw, daughter of Edward Henshaw, on 24 February 1728.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Fotherby, daughter of Captain Charles Fotherby, on 11 September 1735.¹ He died on 15 April 1762.¹
     He lived at Surrenden, Kent, England.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 9 May 1711.¹

     Mary Henshaw was the daughter of Edward Henshaw.¹ She married Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt., son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher, on 24 February 1728.¹ She died in March 1735.¹
     Her married name became Dering.

     Edward Henshaw was born in 1662.² He married Elizabeth Roper, daughter of Edward Roper and Catherine Butler, in 1706.^3,2 He died in 1726.²
     He held the office of Lord Mayor of London.² He lived at Wellhall, Eltham, Kent, England.⁴ He was also known as Charles Henshaw.²

     Mary Fotherby is the daughter of Captain Charles Fotherby.¹ She married, firstly, Henry Mompesson before 1735.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt., son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher, on 11 September 1735.¹
     From before 1735, her married name became Mompesson.¹ Her married name became Dering.

     Louise Harding was born on 21 January 1975.¹ He is the son of Andrew Vaughan Harding and Monica Anne Gibson.¹

     Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. was born on 23 June 1679.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Dering, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Cholmley.¹ He married Mary Fisher, daughter of Edward Fisher, on 17 July 1704.¹ He died on 9 May 1711 at age 31, killed in a duel.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 24 June 1684.¹

     Mary Fisher was the daughter of Edward Fisher.¹ She married Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt., son of Sir Edward Dering, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Cholmley, on 17 July 1704.¹
     Her married name became Dering.

     Edward Fisher lived at Fulham, London, England.¹

     Selina Dering was born circa 1756.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Edward Dering, 6th Bt. and Selina Furnese.¹ She married Dr. unknown Dealtry.¹ She died on 19 April 1836.¹
     Her married name became Dealtry.¹

     Philippa Constance Gibson was born on 5 January 1953.¹ She is the daughter of Colonel William David Gibson and Sabina Landsberg.¹
     She lived in 1999 at Maes-y-Morfa, Llangrannog, Llandysul, Carmarthenshire, Wales^G.¹
