Anthony Askew1 

Anthony Askew was baptised on 7 May 1722 at Kendal, Westmorland, England.3 He was the son of Adam Askew and Anne Crackenthorp.3 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Holford, daughter of Robert Holford.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Swinburn, daughter of Cuthbert Swinburn and Margaret Stephenson, on 15 November 1751 at Hartbum, Northumberland, England.4 He died in 1774.3
He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Le Rosey School, Rolle, SwitzerlandG.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hodge [U.K., 1902] on 14 October 1942.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Wyfold, of Accrington, co. Palatine of Lancaster [U.K., 1919] on 14 October 1942.4 He was a director of Robert Fleming Holdings between 1949 and 1985.2 On his death, his titles became extinct.4
