Alice Caroline Helen Buchan was born on 5 June 1908 at London, England.² She was the daughter of John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir and Susan Charlotte Grosvenor.¹ She married Sir Brian Fulke Cameron-Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy, 5th Bt., son of Sir Henry William Cameron-Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy, 3rd Bt. and Ada Christina Lucy, on 29 July 1933.¹ She died on 19 December 1993 at age 85 at Burford, Oxfordshire, England.^1,2
     Hon. Alice Caroline Helen Buchan used the pen-name of Alice Fairfax-Lucy. From 29 July 1933, her married name became Cameron-Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy.¹ She wrote the book A Scrap Screen, published 1979.² She wrote the book Mistress of Charlecote, published 1983.² She wrote the book Charlecote and the Lucys, published 1990.²

     Sir Coles Child, 1st Bt. was born on 6 April 1862.¹ He was the son of Coles William John Child and Elizabeth Letitia Jones.² He married Eliza Caroline Barton, daughter of Richard Bolton Barton, on 5 August 1885.¹ He died on 29 January 1929 at age 66.³
