     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944.² He lived at Old Shalesbrook, Forest Row, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Lucinda Mary Dancy is the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Percival Royston Dancy and Brenda Langley Smithers.^2,3 She married Philip Caulfeild Godsal, son of Major Philip Hugh Godsal and Pamela Ann de Lisle Caulfeild, on 29 November 1969.¹ She and Philip Caulfeild Godsal were divorced in 1985.¹
     From 29 November 1969, her married name became Godsal.
