     He gained the rank of Captain in the North Somerset Yeomanry.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ Captain Joseph Anthony Collings also went by the nick-name of Tony.¹

Philip Godsal, on 7 November 1970.¹ She died on 20 December 2004 at age 80 at Taunton, Somerset, England^G.³
     She was in the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.¹ From 19 December 1944, her married name became Godsal. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland in 1961.¹ She lived in 2003 at Little Edbrooke, Winsford, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Philip Caulfeild Godsal was born on 10 October 1945.¹ He is the son of Major Philip Hugh Godsal and Pamela Ann de Lisle Caulfeild.² He married, firstly, Lucinda Mary Dancy, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Percival Royston Dancy and Brenda Langley Smithers, on 29 November 1969.¹ He and Lucinda Mary Dancy were divorced in 1985.¹ He married, secondly, Selina Brooke-Smith, daughter of Thomas William Brooke-Smith, on 2 July 1986.¹
