     John Romilly, 1st Baron Romilly was born on 10 January 1802 at Bloomsbury, London, England.² He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.³ He married Caroline Charlotte Otter, daughter of Rt. Rev. William Otter and Nancy Sadleir Bruère, on 22 October 1833 at St. Mark, Kensington, London, England.² He died on 23 December 1874 at age 72 at Russell Square, London, England.²
     He was a practising barrister-at-law in 1827.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridport between 1832 and 1835.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridport between 1846 and 1847.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devonport between 1847 and 1852.³ He held the office of Solicitor-General in 1848.³ He was appointed Knight in 1848.³ He held the office of Attorney-General in 1850.³ He held the office of Master of the Rolls in 1851.³ He was created 1st Baron Romilly, of Barry, co. Glamorgan [U.K.] on 3 January 1866.³

     Caroline Charlotte Otter was born in 1809 at Leverington, Cambridgeshire, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. William Otter and Nancy Sadleir Bruère.² She married John Romilly, 1st Baron Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 22 October 1833 at St. Mark, Kensington, London, England.² She died on 30 December 1856 at Kensington, London, England.²
     From 22 October 1833, her married name became Romilly.

     Rt. Rev. William Otter was born on 23 October 1768 at Cuckney, Nottinghamshire, England.² He was the son of Edward Otter.³ He married Nancy Sadleir Bruère, daughter of William Bruère, on 8 July 1804 at Leatherhead, Surrey, England.² He died on 20 August 1840 at age 71 at Broadstairs, Kent, England.²
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)⁴ He held the office of Bishop of Chichester.¹

     Edward Romilly was born in 1804.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.¹ He married Sophia Marcet, daughter of Alexander John Gaspard Marcet, on 7 May 1830.¹ He died on 12 October 1870, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ludlow between 1832 and 1835.¹ He lived at Porthkerry, Glamorgan, Wales.¹

     Sophia Marcet was the daughter of Alexander John Gaspard Marcet.¹ She married Edward Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 7 May 1830.¹ She died on 27 July 1877.¹
     Her married name became Romilly.

     Alexander John Gaspard Marcet was born in 1770 at Geneva, Switzerland.¹ He was the son of Marc Marcet and Louise-Marguerite Nadal.¹ He died in 1822.¹
     He was a physician and chemist.¹

     Henry Romilly was born on 31 December 1804.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.¹ He married Rosa Morris, daughter of James Pemberton Morris, on 15 May 1850.¹ He died on 25 December 1884 at age 79.¹

     Rosa Morris was the daughter of James Pemberton Morris.¹ She married Henry Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 15 May 1850.¹ She died on 20 April 1892.¹
     Her married name became Romilly.

     Lt.-Col. Frederick Romilly was born on 21 March 1810.² He was the son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.² He married Lady Elizabeth Amelia Jane Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto and Mary Brydone, on 28 November 1848.³ He died on 6 April 1887 at age 77.³
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Canterbury between 1850 and 1852.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusilier Guards.²
