     Jane Theophila Gee was the daughter of Robert Gee.² She married David Freemantle Carmichael, son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood.¹ She died on 14 June 1860.¹
     Her married name became Carmichael.¹

     Lt.-Col. George Lynedoch Carmichael was born on 8 December 1831.¹ He was the son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood.² He married Eva Saunders, daughter of Andrew Saunders, on 7 July 1870.¹ He died on 29 January 1903 at age 71.¹
     He was given the name of George Lynedoch Carmichael Smyth at birth.² He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ His name was legally changed to George Lynedoch Carmichael by Royal Licence.² He fought in the Crimean War.¹ He was awarded the Order of Medjidie 5th Class.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.¹ He fought in the Indian Mutiny, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 95th Regiment.¹ He held the office of Chief Constable of Worcestershire between 1871 and 1903.¹

     Eva Saunders was the daughter of Andrew Saunders.² She married Lt.-Col. George Lynedoch Carmichael, son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood, on 7 July 1870.¹ She died on 10 April 1871.¹
     Her married name became Smyth.

     Evelyn George Massey Carmichael of Carmichael was born on 3 April 1871.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Lynedoch Carmichael and Eva Saunders.² He married Dorothea Helen Mary Elizabeth Sutherland Colquhoun, daughter of Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt. and Charlotte Mary Douglas Monro, on 29 February 1908.¹ He died on 14 July 1959 at age 88.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1894 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1898 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was chairman of the Coventry Munition Tribunal in 1915.¹ He was Military Representative for the Colliery Courts of Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Radnorshire, in 1916.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries of Scotland (F.S.A. Scot.)¹ He was chairman of the House of Lords (Pension) Appeal Tribunals.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.¹ He was chairman of the Walsall Court of Referees in 1920.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire in 1923.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1928.¹ He held the position of 29th Chief of the Name and Arms of Carmichael from on 12 August 1934.¹ As Heir of the House of Carmichael he claimed unsuccessfully the dormant titles of the Earl of Hyndford.¹

     Louisa Maria Carmichael was born on 25 July 1833.¹ She was the daughter of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood.² She married Edward Wylly on 22 August 1854.¹ She died on 11 June 1900 at age 66.¹
     She was given the name of Louisa Maria Carmichael Smyth at birth.² Her name was legally changed to Louisa Maria Carmichael by Royal Licence.² From 22 August 1854, her married name became Wylly.

     Edward Wylly married Louisa Maria Carmichael, daughter of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood, on 22 August 1854.¹ He died on 7 January 1862.¹
     He held the office of Judge of the Sudder Court at Agra.¹

     Lady Rose Lambart is the daughter of Charles Lambart, 1st Earl of the County of Cavan and Hon. Jane Robartes.^1,2 She married, secondly, Major Hon. John Taaffe, son of Theobald Taaffe, 1st Earl of Carlingford and Mary White, after 1666.¹ She married, firstly, Edward Brabazon, son of Sir Anthony Brabazon and Margaret Hovendon, before 1666.³
     From before 1666, her married name became Brabazon. From after 1666, her married name became Taaffe.¹

     Isabella Frances Oakes was the daughter of William Henry Oakes.² She married, firstly, David Scott Carmichael Smyth, son of James Carmichael Smyth and Mary Holyland, in 1839.¹ She married, secondly, Daniel Bayley, son of William Butterworth Bayley and Anne Augusta Jackson, on 30 August 1849 at Brighton, Sussex, England^G.³ She died in 1908.¹
     From 1839, her married name became Carmichael Smyth.¹ From 30 August 1849, her married name became Bayley.³
