General Sir Robert Laurie of Maxwelton, 5th Bt.1 
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfries Burghs between 1774 and 1804.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1779 in the 16th Light Dragoons.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Laurie, of Maxwelton, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] on 28 April 1779.3 He held the office of Knight Marshal of Scotland between 1785 and 1804.3 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1798.3 He gained the rank of General in 1803.3

Robert Rollo, 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub1 
He succeeded as the 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub, co. Perth [S., 1651] on 4 March 1701.2 In 1715 he joined the Jacobite Uprising.2 From 1716 to 1717 he was imprisoned.2
