     Charles Carmichael was the son of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.¹ He died, lost at sea with his older brother, John.¹

     Archibald Carmichael was born on 15 April 1693.¹ He was the son of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.¹ He died, young.¹

     Beatrix Carmichael is the daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.¹ She married John Cockburn of Ormiston, son of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton, in 1700.¹
     From 1700, her married name became Cockburn.¹

     John Cockburn of Ormiston was the son of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton.² He married Beatrix Carmichael, daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond, in 1700.¹ He died on 12 November 1758 at Navy House, London, England, without issue.²
     He held the office of Lord of the Admiralty.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹

     Lady Mary Carmichael is the daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.^1,2 A contract for the marriage of Lady Mary Carmichael and Lt.-Col. John Montgomerie was signed on 28 September 1704.¹
     From 28 September 1704, her married name became Montgomerie.¹

     Beatrix Montgomerie was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Montgomerie and Lady Mary Carmichael.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Lady Anne Carmichael is the daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.¹ A contract for the marriage of Lady Anne Carmichael and Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. was signed on 8 April 1709.¹ She died circa 1720.²
     From 8 April 1709, her married name became Maxwell.¹

     Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. was born in 1686.² He is the son of Zacharias Maxwell of Blawerthill and Jean Maxwell.³ He married, thirdly, Margaret Caldwell, daughter of John Caldwell of Caldwell.¹ A contract for the marriage of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Lady Anne Carmichael was signed on 8 April 1709.³ He married, secondly, Barbara Steuart, daughter of Walter Steuart of Steuart Hall and Barbara Kay, in August 1727.³ He died on 24 December 1752.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Maxwell, of Pollok, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1682] on 4 July 1732.³

     Mary Carmichael is the daughter of William Carmichael, Master of Carmichael and Lady Grizel Douglas.¹ A contract for the marriage of Mary Carmichael and Sir Archibald Stewart of Castlemilk, 1st Bt. was signed on 2 September 1665.¹
     From 2 September 1665, her married name became Stewart.²

     Margaret Press was born on 18 December 1873 at Clifton, Bristol, England.² She was the daughter of John Latham Press.¹ She married Charles Leigh Clay, son of Henry Clay and Mary Louisa Boden, on 17 February 1897 at Emmanuel Church, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ She died on 31 July 1952 at age 78 at Wyndcliffe Court, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales.²
     From 17 February 1897, her married name became Clay.¹
