     Lady Bessy Savage was born in 1699. She was the daughter of Richard Savage, 4th Earl Rivers. She married Frederick Nassau de Zuylestein, 3rd Earl of Rochford, son of William Henry van Nassau van Zuylestein, 1st Earl of Rochford and Jane Wroth, on 3 August 1714. She died on 23 June 1746.
     Her married name became Nassau.

     Richard Savage, 4th Earl Rivers is the son of Thomas Savage, 3rd Earl Rivers and Elizabeth Scrope.¹ He died in 1712.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Colchester [E., 1621] on 14 September 1694. He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Savage [E., 1611] on 14 September 1694. He succeeded as the 4th Earl Rivers [E., 1626] on 14 September 1694. He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Savage of Rocksavage, co. Chester [E., 1626] on 14 September 1694.

     John Stewart, 1st Earl of Traquair was born circa 1600.² He was the son of John Stewart of Traquair, younger and Margaret Stewart.² A contract for the marriage of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Traquair and Lady Catherine Carnegie was signed on 14 September 1620.³ He died on 27 March 1659 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peeblesshire [Scotland] in 1621.² He was appointed Knight before February 1621/22.² He held the office of Keeper of Dumbarton Castle from December 1627 to February 1628.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1628.² He held the office of Burgess of Edinburgh in 1630.² He held the office of Treasurer Depute of Scotland in 1630.² He was Extraordinary Lord of Session between 1630 and 1641.² He held the office of a Commissioner of Exchequer in 1631.² He was created 1st Lord Linton and Caberston [Scotland] on 23 June 1633, with special remainder to his heirs male bearing the name and arms of Stewart.² He was created 1st Earl of Traquair [Scotland] on 23 June 1633, with special remainder to his heirs male bearing the name and arms of Stewart.² He held the office of Lord High Treasurer [Scotland] between 1636 and 1641.² He held the office of a Commissioner of Exchequer in 1640.² He was a royalist during the Civil War in England, but later signed the Covenant.² He was Commissioner of War for Peebles in 1647.² In 1647 she fought for King Charles II against Cromwell (and was taken prisoner following royalist defeat of Preston 1648 and held at Warwick Castle till 1651.)² He was Commissioner of War for Roxburghshire and Selkirkshire in 1648.² He was forced to beg in the Edinburgh streets following the sale of his estates to meet debts and fines levied on him for his royalism in the Civil War.²

     Lady Jane Hay was the daughter of John Hay, 1st Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Jane Scott.¹ She married William Douglas, 1st Earl of March, son of William Douglas, 1st Duke of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Douglas, on 12 October 1693, by contract.² She died in July 1729.¹
     She was also known as Jean Hay.¹ Her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Lady Jane Hay was styled as Countess of March on 20 April 1697.

     Lord George Douglas was the son of William Douglas, 1st Duke of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Douglas.¹ He died, unmarried.

     Hon. Sir William Douglas was the son of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Kerr.¹ He married, firstly, Agnes Fawside, daughter of George Fawside.² He married, secondly, Jean Stuart, daughter of Sir Robert Stuart, in 1649.² He died in 1673.²
     He held the office of Governor of Carlisle in 1647.² He lived at Kelhead, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.²

     Agnes Fawside is the daughter of George Fawside.¹ She married Hon. Sir William Douglas, son of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Kerr.¹
     Her married name became Douglas.

     Jean Stuart was the daughter of Sir Robert Stuart.¹ She married, firstly, Andrew Riddell before 1649.¹ She married, secondly, Hon. Sir William Douglas, son of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Kerr, in 1649.¹
     From before 1649, her married name became Riddell.¹ Her married name became Douglas.
