     Mark Jonathan Irving Brunner was born on 28 June 1962.¹ He is the son of Sir John Henry Kilian Brunner, 4th Bt. and Jasmine Cecily Wardrop-Moore.¹
     Mark Jonathan Irving Brunner usually went by his middle name of Jonathan.¹

     Claire Eliza Brunner was born on 14 October 1958.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Henry Kilian Brunner, 4th Bt. and Jasmine Cecily Wardrop-Moore.¹ She died on 9 August 2015 at age 56.²

     Lt.-Gen. George Dean-Pitt was born on 14 January 1823.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. George Dean-Pitt and Susan Baillie.^2,3 He married Louisa Jones, daughter of Sir Horace David Cholwell St. Paul, 1st Bt. and Ann Isaacson, on 22 November 1842.¹ He died on 4 April 1883 at age 60.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He held the office of Keeper of the Crown Jewels.¹

     Sir Walter Scott of Branxholm was the son of Robert Scott of Rankilburn and Murthockston.¹ He died on 9 February 1469.¹
     On 22 February 1453 he was granted some of the Douglas lands, and the other half of Branxholme.¹ In 1455 he helped to suppress the rebellious Douglases.¹
