     Robert Scott of Rankilburn and Murthockston was born before 18 February 1406/7.¹ He was the son of Sir Walter Scott of Rankilburn and Murthockston.¹ He died in 1426.¹
     He acquired part of the lands of Branxholm.¹

     Arthur Houston lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹

     Sir Walter Scott of Rankilburn and Murthockston was the son of Robert Scott of Rankilburn and Murthockston.¹ He died on 11 September 1402, killed in action.¹
     On 7 December 1389 he was granted charter of the territorial Barony of Kirkurd, by King Robert II.¹ He fought in the Battle of Homildon Hill on 11 September 1402.¹

     Anthony Brunner was born on 21 May 1901.¹ He was the son of Harold Roscoe Brunner and Ethel Houston.¹ He married Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker on 5 March 1934.¹ He died in 1970.¹
     He was given the name of Egbert Sidney Houston Brunner at birth.¹ He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ On 18 October 1919 his name was legally changed to Anthony Brunner by deed poll.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1924 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹

     Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker married Anthony Brunner, son of Harold Roscoe Brunner and Ethel Houston, on 5 March 1934.¹ She died on 10 July 1994.¹
     Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker usually went by her middle name of Felicity.¹ From 5 March 1934, her married name became Brunner.

     John Kilian Houston Brunner was born on 14 September 1934.¹ He was the son of Anthony Brunner and Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker.¹ He married, firstly, Marjorie Rosamond Sauer, daughter of Edwin Charles Sauer, on 12 July 1958.¹ He married, secondly, Liyi Tan, daughter of Tan Quan, in 1991.¹ He died on 25 August 1995 at age 60.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was an author and poet.¹

     Marjorie Rosamond Sauer was the daughter of Edwin Charles Sauer.¹ She married John Kilian Houston Brunner, son of Anthony Brunner and Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker, on 12 July 1958.¹ She died in 1986.¹
     From 12 July 1958, her married name became Brunner.

     Tan Quan lived at Guangzhou, Guangdong, China^G.¹

     Liyi Tan is the daughter of Tan Quan.¹ She married John Kilian Houston Brunner, son of Anthony Brunner and Amy Phyllis Ivy Felicity Whittaker, in 1991.¹
     From 1991, her married name became Brunner. She lived in 2003 at The Square House, 18 Palmer Street, South Petherton, Somerset, England^G.¹
