     Emily Mountsteven was the daughter of General William T. B. Mountsteven.¹ She married Sir William Richmond Brown, 2nd Bt., son of Alexander Brown and Sarah Benedict Brown, on 28 May 1862.¹ She died on 8 July 1928.¹
     From 28 May 1862, her married name became Brown.¹

     Sir Melville Richmond Brown, 3rd Bt. was born on 13 October 1866.¹ He was the son of Sir William Richmond Brown, 2nd Bt. and Emily Mountsteven.¹ He married Lilian Alice Mabel Roussel, daughter of Robert Roussel, on 27 February 1906.¹ He and Lilian Alice Mabel Roussel were divorced in 1931.¹ He died on 20 February 1944 at age 77, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Brown, of Richmond Hill, Lancashire [U.K., 1863] on 10 May 1906.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the 3rd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.¹

     Lilian Alice Mabel Roussel was born in 1885.² She was the daughter of Robert Roussel.¹ She married Sir Melville Richmond Brown, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Richmond Brown, 2nd Bt. and Emily Mountsteven, on 27 February 1906.¹ She and Sir Melville Richmond Brown, 3rd Bt. were divorced in 1931.¹ She died on 4 October 1946.¹
     Her married name became Richmond Brown.² She was appointed Fellow, Zoological Society (F.Z.S.)¹ She was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.)¹ She was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ From 27 February 1906, her married name became Brown.¹ She was appointed Fellow, Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland (F.R.A.I.) in 1923.¹

     Robert Roussel lived at Rohais, Guernsey, Channel Islands^G.¹

     Anne Luxmoore Lees was born in 1873.² She was the daughter of George John Dumville Lees and Anne Dove Luxmoore.^1,2 She married Frederick Richmond Brown, son of Sir William Richmond Brown, 2nd Bt. and Emily Mountsteven, on 22 November 1900.³ She died on 30 October 1943.¹
     From 22 November 1900, her married name became Brown.¹

     George John Dumville Lees was born on 8 June 1848 at Royton, Denbighshire, Wales^G.² He was the son of John Lees and Anne Bond Dumville.² He was baptised on 11 July 1848 at Bangor Iscoed, Flintshire, Wales^G.² He married Anne Dove Luxmoore on 1 August 1871.² He died in 1906.² He was buried at Chester Cathedral, Chester, Cheshire, England^G.²
     He lived at Okehampton Park, Devon, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He lived at Woodhill, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Ralph Richmond Brown was born on 18 March 1904.¹ He was the son of Frederick Richmond Brown and Anne Luxmoore Lees.¹ He died on 28 February 1975 at age 70, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Flight-Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1953.¹

     Alice Richmond Brown was born on 27 March 1874.² She was the daughter of Sir William Richmond Brown, 2nd Bt. and Emily Mountsteven.¹ She married George Hunter Garnett Garnett-Orme on 23 November 1904.¹ She died on 21 January 1933 at age 58, leaving issue.¹
     From 23 November 1904, her married name became Garnett-Orme.¹ She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)¹
