     Sir George Edmond Brackenbury Abell was born on 22 June 1904.² He was the son of George Foster Abell and Jessie Elizabeth Brackenbury.² He married Susan Norman-Butler, daughter of Arthur Francis Norman-Butler, in 1928.² He died on 11 January 1989 at age 84 at Ramsbury, Wiltshire, England.³
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.² He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.¹ He was Private Secretary to the Viceroy of India between 1945 and 1947.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1946.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1947.¹ He was director of the Bank of England between 1952 and 1964.²

     Martin George Abell was born on 16 June 1962.¹ He is the son of John Norman Abell and Mora Delia Clifton-Brown.¹ He married, firstly, Nazare Albuquerque on 16 July 1994.¹ He and Nazare Albuquerque were divorced in 1998.¹ He married, secondly, Kim Howard Dalgleish on 18 December 1999.¹

     Antony Philip Norman Abell was born on 17 January 1964.¹ He is the son of John Norman Abell and Mora Delia Clifton-Brown.¹ He married Alexandra Louise Burbidge, daughter of Sir John Richard Woodman Burbidge, 4th Bt. and Benita Roxane Mosselmans, on 27 April 1996.¹ He and Alexandra Louise Burbidge were divorced in 1998.¹

     Alexandra Louise Burbidge was born in 1970.² She is the daughter of Sir John Richard Woodman Burbidge, 4th Bt. and Benita Roxane Mosselmans.^1,2 She married, firstly, Antony Philip Norman Abell, son of John Norman Abell and Mora Delia Clifton-Brown, on 27 April 1996.¹ She and Antony Philip Norman Abell were divorced in 1998.¹ She married, secondly, Nigel Massey on 13 July 2000.²
     She was adopted by Sir John Richard Woodman Burbidge, 4th Bt.¹ From 27 April 1996, her married name became Abell.¹ From 13 July 2000, her married name became Massey.

     Athena Madeleine Abell was born on 30 October 1997.¹ She is the daughter of Antony Philip Norman Abell and Alexandra Louise Burbidge.¹
