He graduated from St. Alban’s Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1623 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 26 June 1623.1 He was a Fellow in 1624 at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 23 February 1626/27.1 He graduated from St. Alban’s Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 28 July 1628 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Resident Minister to France between 1641 and 1660.1 He held the office of Clerk of the Council from 27 January 1640/41 to January 1671/72, to King Charles I.1 He held the office of Clerk of the Privy Council.1 He was created 1st Baronet Browne, of Deptford, co. Kent [England] on 1 September 1649.1 He was appointed Knight on 19 September 1649.1 His last will was dated 22 May 1678.
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
