Margaret Hilda Roberts, Baroness Thatcher was born on 13 October 1925.1 She was the daughter of Alfred Roberts and Beatrice Ethel Stephenson.1 She married Sir Denis Thatcher, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Herbert Thatcher and Lilian Kathleen Bird, on 13 December 1950.1 She died on 8 April 2013 at age 87 at Ritz Hotel, London, England.3

(Conservative) for Finchley between 1959 and 1992.1 She held the office of Joint Parliamentary Secretary, Minister of Pensions and Northern Ireland between 1961 and 1964.1 She held the office of Secretary of State, Education and Science between 1969 and 1970.1 She was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1970.1 She was an Honorary Fellow in 1970 at Somerville College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 She held the office of Honorary Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1975.1 She held the office of Leader of the Opposition between 1975 and 1979.1 She held the office of Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury between 1979 and 1990.1 She was awarded the Donovan Award in 1981 U.S.A.1 She held the office of Minister of the Civil Service between 1981 and 1990.1 She was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1983.1 She wrote the book In Defence of Freedom, published 1986.1 She was awarded the Order of Merit (O.M.) in 1990.1 She was awarded the U.S. Medal of Freedom in 1991.1 She held the office of Chancellor of Buckingham University in 1992.1 She was created Baroness Thatcher, of Kesteven in the County of Lincolnshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 26 June 1992.5 She wrote the book The Downing Street Years 1979-1990, published 1993.1 She held the office of Chancellor of William and Mary College, Williamsburg, Virginia in 1994.1 She wrote the book The Path to Power, published 1995.1 She was appointed Lady Companion, Order of the Garter (L.G.) on 8 June 1995.1
