Lady Annabella Scrope was born illegitimately in 1629.1 She was the daughter of Emmanuel Scrope, 1st Earl of Sunderland and Martha Jeanes.3,4 She married John Grubham Howe, son of Sir John Howe, 1st Bt. and Bridget Rich.1 She died on 21 March 1703.1
Her married name became Howe.1 On 1 June 1663 she was legimitised and granted the rank of an earl’s legitimate daughter.4
