Sir Brook William Bridges, 4th Bt.1 
He was given the name of William Bridges at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Brook William Bridges by licence from the Bishop of the diocese, and by Act of Parliament.1,2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bridges, of Goodneston, co. Kent [G.B., 1718] on 4 September 1791.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1
