     Winifred Ada Bowen was the daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther.¹ She married General Sir Alexander Stanhope Cobbe, V.C., son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Alexander Hugh Cobbe and Emily Barbara Jones, on 1 October 1910.¹ She died on 11 August 1956.¹
     From 1 October 1910, her married name became Cobbe.¹

     Catherine Comyn married, secondly, Sir David Bourke, 1st Bt., son of Oliver Bourke, before 1615.¹
     Her married name became Blake.¹ From before 1615, her married name became Bourke.¹

     General Sir Alexander Stanhope Cobbe, V.C. was born on 5 June 1870 at Naini Tal, India^G.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Alexander Hugh Cobbe and Emily Barbara Jones.^1,3 He married Winifred Ada Bowen, daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther, on 1 October 1910.¹ He died on 29 June 1931 at age 61 at Shambrook, Bedfordshire, England^G.^1,2 He was buried at St. Peter’s Church, Shambrook, Bedfordshire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.⁴ He was commissioned in 1889, in the service of the South Wales Borderers.⁴ He fought in the Chitral Relief Force in 1895, where he was mentioned in despatches.⁴ He fought in the South Angoniland Expedition in 1898.⁴ He fought in the Expedition against Kwamba in 1899, where he was mentioned in despatches.⁴ He fought in the Ashanti Campaign in 1900, where he was mentioned in despatches twice and was severely wounded.⁴ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.⁴ He fought in the Somaliliand Expedition between 1902 and 1904, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.⁵ He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 20 January 1903, for his actions on 6 October 1902.^1,5 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches nine times.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1915.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1917.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1918.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1919.⁴ He was Secretary Military Department, India Office between 1920 and 1926.⁴ He was GOC-in-C of the Northern Command India between 1926 and 1930.⁴ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1928.⁴ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp General to HM King George V in 1928.⁴ He was Military Secretary of the India Office in 1930.⁴

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Alexander Hugh Cobbe was born in 1825.² He was the son of Colonel Thomas Alexander Cobbe and Nuzzeer Begum Khan.^2,3 He married Emily Barbara Jones, daughter of Captain G. Stanhope Jones, in 1863.² He died on 13 September 1899.²
     He was commander of the 17th Regiment.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Gertrude Dorothy Bowen was the daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther.¹ She married Sir Kinahan Cornwallis on 14 October 1911.¹ She and Sir Kinahan Cornwallis were divorced in 1925.¹ She died on 15 November 1958.¹
     From 14 October 1911, her married name became Cornwallis.¹

     Sir Kinahan Cornwallis married Gertrude Dorothy Bowen, daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther, on 14 October 1911.¹ He and Gertrude Dorothy Bowen were divorced in 1925.¹ He died on 3 June 1959.¹
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Evelyn Constance Bowen was the daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther.¹ She married John Dale Read, son of John Jervis Read, on 29 July 1911.¹ She died on 25 February 1959, leaving issue.¹
     From 29 July 1911, her married name became Read.¹

     John Dale Read was the son of John Jervis Read.¹ He married Evelyn Constance Bowen, daughter of Sir Albert Edward Bowen, 1st Bt. and Alice Anita Crowther, on 29 July 1911.¹ He died on 19 March 1940.¹
