     Eliza Jane Davey was the daughter of Thomas Davey.¹ She married William Vansittart Bowater, son of Thomas Vansittart Bowater and Sarah Davis, on 8 June 1861. She died on 23 June 1912.¹
     From 8 June 1861, her married name became Bowater.¹

     Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater, 1st Bt. was born on 29 October 1862.¹ He was the son of William Vansittart Bowater and Eliza Jane Davey.¹ He married, firstly, Emily Margaret Spencer, daughter of John Spencer, on 8 June 1887.¹ He married, secondly, Alice Mary Hoskins, daughter of Samuel Hoskins, on 12 August 1925.² He died on 28 March 1938 at age 75.²
     He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London between 1905 and 1906.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1906.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1913 and 1914.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 10th Royal Fusiliers (City of London.)¹ He was created 1st Baronet Bowater, of Hill Crest, Croydon [U.K.] on 16 July 1914.¹ He was awarded the Commander, Order of Leopold of Belgium.¹ He was awarded the Commander, Order of Dannebrog 1st class.¹ He was awarded the Officer, Order of the Crown of Belgium.¹ He was awarded the Knight, Order of St. Olaf of Norway 1st class.¹ He was awarded the Grand Commander, Order of the Redeemer of Greece.¹ He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the City of London between 1924 and 1938.¹

     Sir Frederick William Bowater was born on 8 June 1867.¹ He was the son of William Vansittart Bowater and Eliza Jane Davey.¹ He married Alice Emily Sharp, daughter of Joseph Sharp, on 25 September 1890.¹ He died on 16 May 1924 at age 56.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Alice Emily Sharp is the daughter of Joseph Sharp.¹ She married Sir Frederick William Bowater, son of William Vansittart Bowater and Eliza Jane Davey, on 25 September 1890.¹
     From 25 September 1890, her married name became Bowater.¹
